      Abstract
Yogyakarta is well known as student city in Indonesia. The growth of population due to the increasing of student will need a large housing area and tends to spread out in Yogyakarta City. The transport problems will be appeared when the housing and education services (schools) are not planned well. This study aims to identify the origin and destination of student’s trip in Yogyakarta by employing home interview survey. In addition, trip generation models either for trip production and trip attraction have also been constructed. The models obtained are numerical model in form of simple linear regression and spatial map. Based on the analysis result, it is known that trip production is influenced by the number of population (within age range 5-24 years old). While trip attraction is determined by the number of school available in each zone (sub-district).
