STRATEGI BERSAING INDUSTRI KERAJINAN ANYAMAN ROTAN DI KABUPATEN MAJALENGKA JAWA BARAT
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the competing strategies of rattan wicker craft industry in Majalengka in facing MEA and ACFTA. The subject of this study was medium scale and top scale rattan wicker craft industries in Majalengka. As population 46 respondends were from Leuwilaja, and 20 respondents were from Mindi village. Analysis tools were used for this study were SWOT analysis method ,QSPM and PLC analysis method.
According in to SWOT analysis method, the industrial center of rattan in Majalengka categorized in quadrant 1, whinch means they tend to utilize their strengths and opportunities they possible. Futhermore according have to the matrix of IE, the rattan wicker craft industry categorized in point V with product development strategy, market expansion, joint venture and service improvement. Based on the result of QSPM analysis method it showed that product development strategy should carried out by the craft industries. And the lifecycle of wicker craft industries was in decline phase according to PLC analysis method.
