KEPENTINGAN RUSIA ERA PRESIDEN VLADIMIR PUTIN (2000-2008) DI WILAYAH ASIA TENGAH DALAM KEANGGOTAANNYA DI THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES (CIS)
Abstract
Russia is one of the biggest power in the world. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia is experiencing the development in terms of foreign policy because of the tendency of certain political actors in the country. This former Soviet Union played an important role in any of its participation in international organizations. One of the organization is The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which consists of the countries of the ex-Soviets. Six of the twelve Member States of the CIS is the Central Asian State, because of it Central Asia become a region that is important for the development of The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This article describes the interests of Russia as a dominant actor in the CIS in the era of President Vladimir Putin (2000-2008).
