Siwak (Salvadora persica) has been used for centuries in the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia. Siwak users have low relativity as well as tooth decay. Fixed orthodontic treatment imparts a problem to such patients because it is difficult in terms of cleaning the mouth during treatment. This study aims to the effectiveness of toothpaste with powdered siwak content in plaque reduction in fixed orthodontic patients with experimental quase type research. Result: the use of Siwak toothpaste is more effective in lowering plaque levels in fixed orthodontic patients.
