Timur Tengah, Afrika dan sebagian Asia. Pengguna siwak memiliki relativitas
yang rendah terjangkit kerusakan maupun penyakit gigi. Perawatan ortodontik
cekat memberikan masalah pada pasien seperti karena sulit dalam hal
membersihkan mulut selama perawatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk efektivitas
pemakaian pasta gigi dengan kandungan bubuk siwak dalam penurunan plak pada
pasien ortodontik cekat dengan jenis penelitian eksperimental quase. Hasil :
penggunaan pasta gigi siwak lebih efektif dalam menurunkan kadar plak pada

| dc.description.abstract | Siwak (Salvadora persica) has been used for centuries in the Middle East,
Africa and parts of Asia. Siwak users have low relativity as well as tooth decay.
Fixed orthodontic treatment imparts a problem to such patients because it is
difficult in terms of cleaning the mouth during treatment. This study aims to the
effectiveness of toothpaste with powdered siwak content in plaque reduction in
fixed orthodontic patients with experimental quase type research. Result: the use
of Siwak toothpaste is more effective in lowering plaque levels in fixed
