ADVOKASI ForBALI DALAM PROYEK REKLAMASI TELUK BENOA BALI (2013-2017)
Abstract
This thesis explains about advocacy strategy of ForBALI as
social movement to the government of indonesia in protecting
Benoa Bay from the reclamation project that converts the
Benoa Bay as conservation area become a place for tourism.
Reclaiming the Benoa Bay is a form of exploitation of
Tourism and it also impacts on the function of green area
space. ForBALI movement representing the interests of local
people assume reclaiming would affect the ecosystem and
disturbing local values in Benoa Bay. Environment and
Developmental gap issue are the fundamental interest of
ForBALI to speak up their opposition to reclamation project,
moreover government policies support the investors without
considering and public interests. The advocacy strategy of
ForBALI analyzed by Boomerang Pattern on Transnational
Advocacy Network according to Margareth Keck and Kathryn
Sikkink. The writer analyzed focused on advocacy strategy by
ForBALI to reject the reclamation project by Information
Politics, Symbolic Politics, Leverage Politics, and
Accountability Politics. The efforts of advocacy strategy by
ForBALI to remind public society about environtment issue
and to observe every government policy to suitable of public
interests.
