RSUD Wates (Regional Public Hospital of Wates Subdistrict) was built to supply the public health needs of Kulonprogo Regency and surrounding areas. In order to maintain the sustainable activities in RSUD Wates, one of the problems is about the parking area for vehicles. Because there's many users vehicles in the hospital, the hospital must provide an ample parking area to accommodate the existing vehicles. This research aims to evaluate the availability of parking spaces in RSUD Wates. In this research, the used method was to record the license plate and time of vehicles entering and exiting the parking area of RSUD Wates as primary data. Meanwhile, the secondary data was acquired from the measurement of RSUD Wates parking area. This research was conducted for 2 days — Sunday August 6th, 2017 and Monday August 14th, 2017 — starting at 08.00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. WIB. The reseacrh time was chosen because it included peak hours and visiting hours of patient. Based on the results of the 6 hours survey and data analysis of RSUD Wates parking area on Sunday and Monday, it is found that the maximum parking accumulation of motorcycles is 372 vehicles/15 minutes and the maximum parking accumulation of cars is 29 vehicles/15 minutes; the maximum parking volume for motorcycles is 1111 vehicles and the maximum parking volume for cars is 120 vehicles; the capacity of parking space for motorcycles is equal to 462 vehicles and the capacity of parking space for cars is equal to 27 vehicles; the maximum turnover of motorcycles is equal to 2.4 vehicles/space/6 hours and the maximum turnover of cars is equal to 4,44 vehicles/space/6 hours; the average and maximum motorcycle parking indexes are 52.27% and 80.52% respectively as well as the average and maximum car parking indexes are 58.22% and 107.04%; maximum duration of motorcycle parking during 45-60 minutes with 38 vehicles and maximum duration of car parking during 60-75 minutes with 4 vehicles, the average duration of motorcycles is 57.79 minutes and the average duration of cars is 50.68 minutes; the average headway of motorcycles is 1.34 minutes and the average headway of cars is 9.73 minutes; The need for a motorcycle parking space of 558m² with a motorcycle parking area of 693m², and for cars of 362.5m² with a parking area of 345m². So it is concluded that the parking area of motorcycle can still accommodate vehicles that are parked on Sunday and Monday at 08.00 - 14.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the car parking area is still not enough to accommodate vehicles parked on Monday at 08.00 - 14.00 WIB.
