TEKANAN INTRAOKULER PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI KLINIK AMC YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: Hypertension is increasing blood pressure abnormally and regularly because of one or some factor that keeps the blood pressure in normal level. Intraocular pressure is pressure measured in eye cavity, related to production and circulation of aqueous humor regularly. Individual factors such as gender, age, race, and physiological differences like hypertension and cardiovascular can affect intraocular pressure.
Aim: Aim of this research was to know the relation between hypertension and intraocular pressure in Klinik AMC Yogyakarta.
Methods: This research was conducted from August until December 2016. This research was using non-experimental analytic correlation design with cross sectional approach. The data was analyzed using Chi-Square Test.
Result: This research involves 20 hypertension patients from Poli Penyakit Dalam Klinik AMC. Respondents with controlled hypertension are 14 people (70%) and uncontrolled hypertension with a number of six people (30%). Respondents with high intraocular pressure are three people (15%) and respondent without high intraocular pressure with a number of 17 people (85%).
Conclusion: There was no relation between hypertension with high intraocular pressure in Klinik AMC Yogyakarta.
