This article is aimed to understand the conflict in Nigeria as the result of attacks from a rebel group called Boko Haram. The author will discuss the background of its existence which leads to the conflicts and threatens the security, peace, and stability in Africa. Specifically, this article will unfold how the effort conducted by the African Union as a regional organization in helping to resolve the conflict among its member states, on the emphazise on the effort by African Union since 2009 to 2015. This research uses the qualitative method with secondary data sources. This article will also elaborate the cooperation of African Union with other international actors such as UNHCR and ICRC in dealing with the victims of Boko Haram in Nigeria. In conducting so, African Union faced several obstacles such as the low funding and logistics and the incapability of African Union itself as the regional organizations in controlling stability of its member states
