IDIOM BAHASA JEPANG BERMAKNA EMOSI
Abstract
This research was conducted to figure out Japanese language idiom that has meaning of emotions. The purpose of this research is to find out the various idioms that have emotions meanings and which of them have similar meanings, also which of them positive meanings or negative meanings. The data was taken from a book titled Kan’youku (Sho/Chuukyuu) written by Tanaka Masae and Magara Naoko (2000) and also a book titled Idiom Bahasa Jepang written by Garrison, Jeffrey G (2006 as for theory and categorization of emotions, a book titled Pengantar Psikologi Umum written by Sarwono, Sarlito Wirawan (2016) is used in this research.
The research used descriptive qualitative method. The data obtained from the books will be elaborated in accordance with the true meaning. The difference between Idioms that have similar meaning, will be explained to help readers comprehend this matter and readers can tell the differences.There are 35 idioms consisted of 16 idioms that have positive meanings and 19 idioms that have negative meaning. Furthermore, there are seven idioms that have similar meaning. Although, it also has been found that there is one ambigus idiom which can be categorized as both positive meaning and negative meaning.
