WACANA PEREMPUAN DI BERITA POJOK KAMPUNG
Abstract
This research is to reveal about women's discourse in news of Pojok Kampung. Using a regional mask, Pojok Kampung became the flagship program at JTV Surabaya under the banner of Jawa Pos Group. Women's discourse is a battle that involves power and knowledge both in terms of economic, political, cultural, and ideological. Women's discourse is represented in Pojok Kampung program which is used as a news presenter that has a local presenter's standard that must have the ability to speak Javanese and have a proportioned body or face. Given that the news-producing actors are dominated by men.
Using Norman Fairclough's critical analytical method, three categories of news in the Pojok Kampung were made that women were regarded as weak and men as superior in the news of violence. The exploitation of women's bodies serves as a very profitable commodity for the media, seeing news making from a male perspective. In addition language texts are used as construction of women in the world of work, although women should be faced with work outside the home. In addition, the discourse of women who cause gender bias will not be separated from the capitalist and patriaki culture.
Those strategies are used Pojok Kampung which became one of the JTV Surabaya news program can be profitable for Jawa Pos Group, see Jawa Pos Group also do commodification and homogenization news.
