PENDIDIKAN AGAMA DALAM KELUARGA DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP AKHLAK SISWA KELAS XI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH KASIHAN
Abstract
This study seeks to identify the impact of religious education in family on the moral character of the eleventh-grade students in SMA Muhammadiyah Kasihan.
This study is a qualitative descriptive research that employs correlational model. The sampling technique is saturation sampling with 24 samples. Data are collected through Likert scale questionnaire. The validity is examined using product moment while the reliability is examined using Alpha Cronbach. The analytical techniques of this study consist of data normality test, linier regression test, analysis of variant (ANOVA) test and hypothesis test.
The result of this study show that, there is a significant impact od religious education in family on the student moral character in the eleventh-grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah Kasihan, as indicated by the t-test value (3,748) that is significantly (with 5% level of significance) greater than the t-table value (2,07). Furthermore, the level of religious education in family is qualified as very good (58%). This result indicates that most of the parents of the eleventh-grade students in SMA Muhammadiyh Kasihan give religious lesson in their family including lessons on Islamic belief, rituals and good characters such us; belief in the pillars of faith and the pillars of Islam, habituation of prayer, pray, not being egocentric, reciting the Qur’an regularly, respecting older people, loving each other, being honest, asking permission politely, discipline, keeping promises, grateful and cleanness. The measure of akhlak of eleventh-grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah Kasihan shows a very good score, that is 79%.
The R square value is 0,345 which indicates that the ompact of religious education in family (X) on the moral character of the students (Y) with 34,5% and 65,5% score respectively, is influenced by other determinant factors that are not in the scope of this study, thus, religious education o family is not the only factor that determine students’ moral character, but there are other factors that play role in shaping the students’ moral character.
