Yogyakarta is a city in Indonesia where many of its citizens participate in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Data of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, in 2016 the number reached 238,619 units of existing industry of MSMEs in Yogyakarta. Of these there are various types of SMEs business such as: Business-Trade, Trade, Agriculture Industry, And Non-Agriculture Industry. So many of these MSMEs also generate so many other trademarks. From these trends will cause big potential problems in the future that is the abuse of trademarks olek parties who are not responsible if MSMEs do not register Trademarks, and will affect the development of UMKM business later. This study aims to find out information and assistance for SMEs through Trademark in Yogyakarta and know UMKM by using Trademark and Legal Tracking. This research is conducted by using empirical juridical approach. The results of this study indicate that the existence of facilities and assistance from the government will still not be minimized by SMEs therefore the government needs to increase understanding in the process of registering trademarks.
