      Abstract
Background: Game addiction is a situation when a player will be very difficult to escape from the game. This online game addiction is better known as Internet Gaming Disorder. Prevalence in adolescents in an Asian study using the five criteria categories was 8.4% for males and 4.5% for females. This behaviour has many negative impacts for students. One of the therapies is CBT. In addition to CBT, other therapy that can be used is EFT. EFT is a type of therapy that utilizes the body's meridian energy, almost the same as acupuncture, but using fingers instead of needles. In Indonesia, EFT is slightly modified into Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT). Objective: This study aims to determine whether SEFT therapy can be used as a healing therapy for games addiction. Method: The type of research used is quantitative, with quasi experiment method, using two groups of pretest-post test design. Result: Normality test using saphiro wilk, the signification number p=0.005 (normal) for pretest and p=0.003 (abnormal) for post test. Correlation test using Wilcoxon test obtained was p=0.252 for intervention group and p=0,009 for control group. Conclusion: Students suffering online games addiction who got SEFT therapy experiencing a decline of addiction level compared with those who did not.
