PENGARUH PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN CASE BASED LEARNING TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI D-III KEPERAWATAN NABIRE
Abstract
Background : Conventional learning tends not to effectively learning motivate of students. Case Based Learning (CBL) is a student centered learning method oriented towards problem solving approach. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the application of CBL learning methods on learning motivation and learning outcomes of student.
Methods : Research design is quantitative, Quasi experiment with pre-post-test approach with control group. Student respondents in the fourth semester were 128 students, divided into 2 groups, namely 63 intervention methods of CBL and 65 control of lecture methods. Research variables are learning motivation and learning outcomes. Analysis uses paired samples t test and independent t test.
Result : The results show that learning motivation and learning outcomes, intervention and control groups have significance values (p <0.05), the mean value of the learning motivation of the intervention group was 113.35 and the learning outcomes were 77.92, while the mean learning motivation of the control group is 99.51 and the average value of learning outcomes is only 64.23.
Conclusion : There is the effect of applying case based learning methods on motivation and learning outcomes of student, in the intervention group learning motivation and learning outcomes improved better after getting CBL learning compared to the control group using lecture learning.
