dc.descriptionLatar Belakang : Pembelajaran konvensional cenderung tidak efektif memotivasi mahasiswa untuk belajar. Case Based Learning (CBL) merupakan metode pembelajaran students centered learning berorientasi problem solving approach. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisa pengaruh metode pembelajaran CBL terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode : Desain penelitian adalah kuantitatif, Quasi experiment dengan pendekatan pre-post-test with control group. Responden mahasiswa semester IV sebanyak 128 yang terbagi dalam 2 kelompok yaitu 63 intervensi metode CBL dan 65 kontrol metode ceramah. Variabel penelitian adalah motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar. Analisa menggunakan uji paired samples t test dan uji independent t test. Hasil : Hasil menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar, kelompok intervensi dan kontrol memiliki nilai signifikasi (p < 0,05), nilai mean motivasi belajar kelompok intervensi sebesar 113,35 dan hasil belajar sebesar 77,92 sedangkan mean motivasi belajar kelompok kontrol sebesar 99,51 dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar hanya sebesar 64,23. Kesimpulan : Ada pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran case based learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa, pada kelompok intervensi motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar menjadi meningkat lebih baik setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran CBL dibanding kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran ceramah. dc.description.abstractBackground : Conventional learning tends not to effectively learning motivate of students. Case Based Learning (CBL) is a student centered learning method oriented towards problem solving approach. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the application of CBL learning methods on learning motivation and learning outcomes of student. Methods : Research design is quantitative, Quasi experiment with pre-post-test approach with control group. Student respondents in the fourth semester were 128 students, divided into 2 groups, namely 63 intervention methods of CBL and 65 control of lecture methods. Research variables are learning motivation and learning outcomes. Analysis uses paired samples t test and independent t test. Result : The results show that learning motivation and learning outcomes, intervention and control groups have significance values (p <0.05), the mean value of the learning motivation of the intervention group was 113.35 and the learning outcomes were 77.92, while the mean learning motivation of the control group is 99.51 and the average value of learning outcomes is only 64.23. Conclusion : There is the effect of applying case based learning methods on motivation and learning outcomes of student, in the intervention group learning motivation and learning outcomes improved better after getting CBL learning compared to the control group using lecture learning.
