INTERNALISASI NILA-NILAI TOLERANSI PADA ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI PERMAINAN ANAK DI SEKOLAH (Studi Kasus Di Raudhatul Athfal Kecamatan Temon)
Abstract
This research is triggered by the attitude of children and the community who rarely show the values of tolerance when interacting. Recently, the values of tolerance in society start to fade along with the current development. This research aims to know how the values of tolerence can be internalized as early as possible through the closest media to early childhood namely children’ games. Thus, this research is aimed at answering these questions: (1) how to internalize the values of tolerance through children’s games, (2) what kind of values appear on the children’s game, (3) how influence of children’s game in internalizing the value of tlerence values in Raudhatul Athfal. (4) how is the comparation between internalizing the value of tolerance in early childhood through children’s game in Raudhatul Athfal.
The research is a qualitative descriptive in Raudhatul Athfal 1 Sindutan and Raudhatul Athfal Sindutan II located in the Temon sub-district, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The data of this study were obtained from interview, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the school principal, teachers, children, and parents at Raudhatul Athfal Sindutan II.
The finding in this study are: (1) internalization of the values of tolerance in early chilhood through children’s game goes well, (2) tolerance values thar arise include children being able to socialize well, respect to others, and cooperate (3) children’s game effects children’s social adjustment, (4) tolerance values that most often appear in Raudhatul Athfal I Sindutan through cat and mouse games, while in Raudhatul Athfal Sindutan II are soccer games.
The suggestions from researchers are: (1) teachers should provide more opportunities for children to play, (2) the ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and Raudhatul Athfal managers should facilitte tools for playing games, (3) parents and school parties work together in internalizing the values of tolerance in early childhood.
