      Abstract
      The purpose this study is to determine the effectiveness of the tobacco plant waste as a source of nitrogen fertilizers in the cultivation of tomato plants and a set dose of organic fertilizer using tobacco plant waste for fertilization substitution on the cultivation of tomato plants. The study aimed to determine the effectieness of tobacco plant waste as a source of N fertilizer. Experiment as conducted in single factor and arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Treatments were as follows : A (80 kg N urea / hectare + 40 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare) , B (60 kg N urea / hectare + 60 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare), C (40 kg N urea / hectare + 80 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare), D (20 kg N urea / hectare + 100 kg N-waste compost tobacco / hectare) and E (0 kg N urea / hectare + 120 kg N tobacco waste compost / hectare). Result showed that treatment E (0 kg N urea / hectare + 120 kg N tobacco waste compost / hectare) gave a higher yield than other treatments on parameters of weight of fruit/ plant, number of fruit/ plant and fruit diameter
