      Abstract
      Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a learning method based on problem. One of the components in PBL is a tutorial which is the discussion in small groups. Problem solving skills in the tutorials is influenced by three factors, there are quality of case (scenario), students, and the role of the tutor. This research aims to know the pharmaceutical student assessment UMY against factors that influence problem solving skills in a tutorial on method of PBL. This research is descriptive research analytical cross sectional design. The population used student of Pharmacy UMY 2012, there are 73 people. Sample gathering techniques using random sampling. This research used the total value to each factor (%) to analyze and find out the pharmaceutical student assessment UMY against factors that influence problem solving skills in this tutorial including a requirement of good, moderate, or worse. The results showed that the highest value of the scenario factor with 84.68% of students agreed and gave a good category, that the problem in the scenario spur students to solve the scenario and problems in accordance with the learning material has been received. The lowest value with 81.05% of students agreed and gave a good category that the problem in the scenario can tigger to find learning resources that are relevant. On the student factors for the highest value with 80.65% of students agreed and gave a good category, that the existence of the tutorial discussion can affect values and achievements of students. The lowest value with 75.40% that student activities at a time when the process of discussion, notably in the tutorials give a response/feedback in the category of being. On the role of tutor factor for the highest value with 81.05% of students agreed and gave a good category, that the role of tutors could trigger students to achieve learning objectives. The lowest value with 78.23% of students agree and give good categories, that tutors provide motivation to students to solve the problem in the scenario. The assessment of students against the factors that affect the problem solving skills is to quality scenarios 83,24%, 79,76% and the tutor role factors students 78,83%. Conclusion of this research is the assessment of student of Pharmacy UMY against factors that influence problem solving skills in the tutorial on the methods of PBL is good and the most high in factors affecting the problem solving skills in a tutorial on method of PBL is the factor scenario, followed by the role of the tutor and student.
