HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI PADA PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN TOOTH MORPHOLOGY BOARD GAME DENGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN MAHASISWA PSPDG FKIK UMY TAHUN I
Abstract
2013 batch Basic Dentistry Bloc’s OSCE passing percentage on
teeth identifying station is 65,48%, while for 2015 batch is 59,4%. The effort that
can be done to increase the interest of study is through interactive studying
medium. Tooth Morphology Board Game is a studying medium introduced firstly
to PSPDG FKIK UMY students. Evaluation is required to assess its function as
newly introduced studying medium. The evaluation is using students’ responses or
perception after using the studying medium.
Goals: To know the relation between perception with the knowledge level of
PSPDG FKIK UMY first year students in learning teeth morphology concept after
using tooth morphology board game studying medium.
Method: Cross sectional study is done to 30 subjects which were PSPDG FKIK
UMY students after playing tooth morphology board game three times. Data
collecting method uses purposive sampling, while data analysis uses lambda
correlation test and chi-square.
Result: From 30 research subjects, the result is 18 subjects (60%) are in favor
that consists of 6 (20%) standard knowledge level students and 12 (40%) good
knowledge level students. On the other side, 12 subjects (40%) are not in favor
that consists of 1 (3,3%) low knowledge level student, 8 (26,7%) middle
knowledge level students, and 3 (10%) high knowledge level students. Using
lambda correlation test, the result is the correlation 0,296 categorized as low and
the contribution is 8,76%. Chi-square test result gets the significant correlation.
Conclusion: There is a correlation between perception and knowledge level of
PSPDG FKIK UMY Year I students in learning morphology concept after using
tooth morphology board game studying medium.
