      Abstract
      This study aims to reveal and know the extent to which the level of support shown between peer companions with HIV / AIDS patients through some indicators of support. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observation, and literature study where sampling is done by purposive sampling, the technique of sampling the data source with certain considerations. Based on the results of research that has been through the process from beginning to end shows the first pair has not been supportive, lie for the sake of the image and be indifferent and indifferent inhibiting the first pair to be supportive. While the two counterparts have not been supportive, have not been able to accept differences of opinion and tend to close themselves from criticism, the second assistant has been able to be supportive, easy to accept others, warm in communicating and tend to avoid disputes make the second pair of couples meet the indicators of supportive attitude. Although the second pair of informants are emotionally close each other but do not make these two pairs meet the indicators of supportive attitude.
