This paper was made to explain the factors that led Indonesia to increase bilateral relations with Turkey during the time of President Jokowi related economic cooperation in due to the decline in value of trade and investment for both countries, as well as what efforts have been done by the government in improving economic cooperation in 2014 - 2017. Yet as we know President Jokowi comes from a nationalist political party, while Turkey under President Erdogan comes from an Islamic party. This article also describes Indonesia's foreign policy towards Turkey, both in terms of economy, military, and its relation to the international context.
