      Abstract
      The research objective was to learn about how the concept of halal travel and tourism or sharia tourism as well as the impact of the sharia tourism toward the development and growth of Islamic banking in NTB from 2014 until 2016. The research was a qualitative research with descriptive approach and the method used were interview, documentation, and direct observation in NTB. The data validity was tested using triangulation method. Based on the research result, it was concluded that the concept of sharia tourism was a good activity done by individuals or groups to reach destinations where the destinations must include products, facilities, and services that are in accordance with the existing Islamic rules for both Muslim and Non-Muslim. Sharia tourism did not give impacts to the development and growth of Islamic banking in NTB. It was observed from the total of wealth, total number of offices, total number of loans, and total number of DPK. Sharia tourism and Islamic banking in NTB went on their respective classes.
