Background: Adolescentsneededto prepared early to be able to solvetheirproblems encountered. Adolescentswho are unable to adjust to their new role can make themselves unstable and emotional and even cause depression. In order for adolescents do notget depression is neededrole of a mother. Working mothers have a positive impact of adolescents being self-sufficient, and the negative impactswhich a mother have little time for adolescentsand affection for adolescentswill belimited. Method: This research used descriptive correlation design with cross sectional method. Technique sample used purposive sampling with 117 respondents. Data analyze used correlation lamda test, the research instrument used a demographic data questionnaire and BDI scale. Results: Mother's working status in most adolescents is work. Most adolescents have normal levels of depression (not depression). Lamda Test analysis results obtained p value = 0,315. Conclusion: This research can be concluded that there is no relationship between mother’s working status with depression level at adolescent in SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta.
