Da’wah is a basic conception to spread and explore the values of Islam, and there are various methods and media to do it. One of them is using writings (dakwah bil qolam). A collection of short stories belongs to one type of literary writing that is research using semiotic analysis approach of Ferdinand De Saussure-an approach used to understand the meaning behind the sign including the motion, the image and the text presented in the writing itself. In the theory of sign, Ferdinand De Saussure is known for his ideas on structuralism theory- a study that examines how the language structure is formed. The method used in this research was signified principle-signifier principle, random principle-iconic principle, and linear meaning (syntagmatic principle)-paradigmatic principle. The findings of the result indicate that da’wah values are presented with a variety of language structures formed in the collection of short stories namely aqidah value, sharia value, worship value, muamalah value, and moral value.
