Abstract
Soursop leaf extract has potential as activity antibacterial agent. The research aimed to optimiz soursop extract gel formula by using HPMC and Carbopol as gelling agent.
The optimization proces of Soursop leaf extract gel formula was conducted using factorial design method. The physical properts of gel that was evaluated are viscocity, adhesiveness, and dispersive ability. Contour plot was made from each parameter and the contour plots were then united as superimposed contour plots that indicated the optimum area of soursop leaf extract gel formula optimization.
The research indicated that carbopol was more dominant in determining adhesiveness. HPMC was more dominant in determining viscocity, and dispersive ability. The optimization of soursop leaf extract gel indicated that superimposed contour plot.
