STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI YOUTH FOR CLIMATE CHANGE YOGYAKARTA ( YFCC ) DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KESADARAN MASYARAKAT YOGYAKARTA UNTUK PEDULI LINGKUNGAN TAHUN 2017
Abstract
Climate change is one form of natural destruction that will occur either through the natural factor itself or from the factors of living things. From the research results prove that currently estimated 40 percent of cities in the world experiencing climate change. Including urban areas of Yogyakarta. The city of Yogyakarta is a densely packed area. While the vegetation cover is small. Based on the observations made through the image of the thermal infrared channel, the high temperature in Yogyakarta is in the urban center. To cope with climate change, humans are required to be more concerned about the surrounding environment so that the impact of climate change can be minimized.
In this study, we discussed the Yogyakarta Youth For Climate Change Communication Strategy in developing the awareness of Yogyakarta society for the environment in 2017. The purpose of this research is to describe YFCC Yogyakarta's communication strategy in developing awareness of Yogyakarta society to be environmentally care 2017 whether it has succeed or not. This research method used descriptive qualitative with interview and documentation study to get data. The subjects in this study were the Yogyakarta Youth For Climate Change chairman who runs the communication strategy as well as the YFCC Yogyakarta information admin who disseminates information and the community directly involved in the activities YFCC Yogyakarta is doing.
The results of this study indicate that the Yogyakarta Youth For Climate Change communication strategy to do in developing the awareness of the Yogyakarta community to care for the environment of 2017 is divided into several stages, namely planning communication strategy, determining Communicators, Messages and Media, the implementation of communication strategy activities are divided into two the stage of the implementation of communication strategy face-to-face and also the implementation of communication strategy activities through CYBER, and conduct evaluation phase YFCC Yogyakarta has 2 stages of evaluation, namely: evaluation of human resources or human resources per six months and evaluations of activities that have been done.
