PENGARUH VARIASI TIMING PENGAPIAN DAN BUSI PADA MOTOR 4 LANGKAH 125 CC BERBAHAN BAKAR PERTAMAX
Abstract
The ignition system on motorcycle plays an important role as a regulator in the combustion process of fuel and air mixture inside the cylinder at the last step of compression. The improvement of ignition system are considered to enhance engine performance and fuel efficiency of motorcycles.
The test was conducted using motor gasoline 4 step 125 cc with 2 CDI (CDI standard and CDI racing Programmable BRT I-Max) and 2 spark plugs (Standard NGK plugs and Denso Iridium spark plugs) with Pertamax fuel. For CDI racing Programmable BRT I-Max used 2 different timing variations on each spark plug. The test was done by using spark plug test spark plug, dyno test, and fuel consumption.
The result of this research showed that each type of CDI and spark plugs have different characteristic of sparks. Maximum torque was generated by using CDI racing BRI I-Max iridium spark plug of 11.91 Nm at 4890 rpm engine speed and maximum power by using CDI racing BRT I-Max iridium spark plug at 10.1 HP at 6818 rpm engine speed. While the lowest fuel consumption was on CDI racing BRT I-Max iridium spark plug with fuel consumption of 52.92 km / L.
