WACANA IDENTITAS MUSLIM DALAM AKUN MEDIA SOSIAL PEJUANG SUBUH
Abstract
This study examines the discourse of Muslim identity in the social media account of Pejuang Subuh which invites young people to perform dawn prayers in congregation in the mosque. This study aims to find out how the Muslim identity is constructed in Twitter Pejuang Subuh.
The method in this research uses critical discourse analysis which is implemented in the form of qualitative analysis. Techniques of collecting research data through the documentation of collecting data in the form of texts and images of social media account uploaders Pejuang Subuh. Then the data collected is processed by the critical discourse analysis technique according to Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional model with elements of text, practice of social discontent and practice.
Based on the results of the analysis of existing data, researchers then found some things, that the Pejuang Subuh construct that ideal Muslims are those who diligently perform prayers in congregation at the mosque, especially at dawn. Second, the clothing that is used not only clothing but as a measure of one's Islam. Third, social media is used as a means to compete with other social media accounts in spreading the Islamic identity.
