PENGARUH AUDIOVISUAL PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP PERSEPSI REMAJA MENGENAI KESERIUSAN DAN KERENTANAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN HIPERTENSI
Abstract
Hypertension or elevated blood pressure above normal often does not show significant
signs and symptoms. Hypertention can also causes many complications. That is why it called
a silent killer disease. Based on data from Riskesdas in 2007 the result of prevalence incidence
of hypertension population with age 18 years and over in indonesia is equal to 31,7%. DIY
province itself is one of the provinces whose hypertension prevalence is 35.8% higher than the
national rate. Because of the prevalence of hypertension in adolescence and above are high, it
is necessary to promote preventive actions. One of the action is changes the wrong perception
among teenagers about hypertension. The material is delivered through audiovisuals that give
concrete examples using the sense of hearing and sight. The experimental method was
performed on 96 respondents with the age of adolescents in the age of 14 until 17 years.
Research conducted with pre test and post test on 48 respondents as control group and 48 others
as intervension group that has been divided before, the research would do each variable,
perception of susceptibilityand seriousness through giving questionnaire. Data analysis using
descriptive method to know. Then the test of quantitative analysis using Mann Whitney and
Wilcoxon. There is effect of health education through audiovisual media toward improvement
of adolescent susceptibility perception score on hypertension prevention behavior with p<0,05.
However, there is no effect of health education through audiovisual media on the perception of
seriousness of hypertensive prevention behavior with p> 0.05.
