Background: The prevalence of hypertensive patient in Public Health Center Bantul I was the second highest prevalence in Bantul city. Stress is one of precipitation factor of hypertension. One of way to reduce blood pressure is stress management. Objective: To know the description of stress management in hypertensive patient in Public Health Center Bantul I. Research Method: This desain research use quantitative descriptive with crosssectional and data analysis use univariat. Sampel of this reasearch amount 86 resondents. Sampling technique use total sampling. Research instrument use questionnare stress management of hypertensive patient and The Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10). Result: Result are majority with female respondents (90,7%), age >65 years old (31,4%), job as housewife (58,1%), long suffering from hypertension 1-5 years (54,7%), hypertension graded 1 (46,5%), moderate stress level (93,0%), and stress management of hypertensive patient was good chategoryzed (90,7%). Conclusion: The majority of hypertensive patient in Public Health Center Bantul I have good stress manajement. Expected hypertensive patients able to maintain stress management to keep blood pressure to be controlled.
