FORMULASI DAN EVALUASI SIFAT FISIK SEDIAAN KRIM EKSTRAK DAUN SIRIH MERAH (Piper crocatum Ruiz. and Pav.)
Abstract
Piper crocatum has benefits for health. The purpose of this research is to know the effectif giving TEA ( Triethanolamine), propilen glycol and gliserin, knowing the results of physical quality tes of Piper crocatum cream and produce cream with a good quality.
The type of the research that is used is experimental research. The method that is used in this research is meseration method. with etanol 96 % solvent. The cream that has been made will be a quality test was performed which included organoleptic test, pH test, adhesive strength test, scatter test, protection test, viscosity test, homogeneity test and emulsion type test.
The results from the quality the research of the physical quality test of red betel cream extract (Piper crocatum Ruiz. &Pav.) showed that the formulation of piper crocatum cream extract which best meets the standard of physical properties of cream after the quality test of cream preparation is formula I with TEA concentration 0,15 g and propylene glycol 0.8 g. Good physical quality of the formula I was demonstrated by soft organoleptic test results, pH 6 test, homogeneous formulation homogeneity test, 3.7 cm scatter test, 2.0 seconds stability test, 260 viscosity test, protection test of KOH 0, 1 N, M / A emulsion type test (Oil in Water), and stability test of creamy creams not covered with fungus and no separation during the test period.
