KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL TENTANG PENGARUH VARIASI TIMING PENGAPIAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN CDI PROGRAMMABLE PADA SEPEDA MOTOR YAMAHA SCORPIO-Z 225 CC TAHUN 2010 BERBAHAN BAKAR PERTAMAX 92
Abstract
The rapid development of the automotive world is followed by the
human needs of the means of transportation. There are various kinds of
transportation in Indonesia such as motorcycles. Motorcycle ignition system acts
as a regulator in the combustion process of fuel and air mixture inside the cylinder
at the last step of compression. There are several main components of ignition on
the motorcycle such as CDI (Capasitor Discharge Ignition), coil (ignition coil),
and spark plug (spark plug). Improvements to ignition systems are believed to
improve engine performance and fuel consumption of motorcycles
One of them on the use of CDI type and spark plug. The test was
performed by using a 225 cc 4-stroke gasoline motor with the use of two types of
CDI (standard CDI and CDI racing BRT I-Max) and 2 types of Coils (Coil
standard and Coil YZ) and Busi Denso Iridium with Pertamax fuel. The test is
done by spark plug test, dynotest, and road test. This research was conducted by
using Motorcycles YAMAHA Scorpio z 4 Step 225 cc Year 2010 to know sparks,
power, torque and fuel consumption of the variations made. The dynamometer test
is performed on 4000 - 11500 RPM for power and torque testing. While for
testing fuel consumption is done at a speed of 40 km / h with a distance of 4 km.
From the result of the research, the best spark spark on CDI BRT I-Max variation with standard coil because the sparks are constantly not moving with the
temperature of 8000 - 9000 K. The highest torque is found on variations of CDI
BRT I-Max and TZ YZ Coil with torque of 21.84 Nm at 6867 RPM engine speed.
And power of 24.4 HP at 9493 RPM engine speed. As for the low fuel
consumption in the variation of CDI BRT I-Max with TDR YZ Coil of 39.24 km /
liter.
