HUBUNGAN ANTARA NILAI UJIAN PAPER BASED TEST JALUR REGULER DENGAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI SARJANA KEDOKTERAN FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN DAN ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background : Faculty of medicine is a faculty of choice that has always been a
favorite of prospective students. Selection of admission to the faculty of medicine
requires an appropriate selection method in order to predict the academic
achievement result. Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta divides the
selection of entry point into achievement Computer Based Test, Paper Based Test
Partnership and Reguler Paper Based Test. This research is needed to see the
correlation between the test score of regular paper-based test and of student's
academic achievement.
Aim: to determine the correlation of regular paper-based test exam result with the
academic achievement of the Medical Education Program Of Medical Faculty
And Health Sciences University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta
Metodhs : This research is descriptive correlational with cross sectional approach
done on 163 samples. The sample was obtained from Medical Education student
of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University class of 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012
that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data obtained from the Server and
Teaching Section in Medical Education of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta
University and using Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and Pearson correlation
test.
Results : In this study, there were 269 medical students of Universitas
Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta batch 2009 – 2012 as respondents that after adjusted
with inclusion and exclusion criteria round up to 161 sample. Statistical analytic
with spearman correlation test found that the correlation between TPA and IPK as
0,019 (weak, insignificant), TPA and First MCQ as 0,022 (weak, insignificant),
and TPA and Final MCQ as 0,045 (weak, insignificant).
Conclusions : There was a correlation between TPA, First MCQ, and Final MCQ
in Medical Students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
