Abstract
Motorcycles contribute to environmental pollution such as noise pollution and light pollution. Sound pollution on motorbikes is the noise produced by engine smoke gas through the muffler sound. Light pollution on motorbikes is too high intensity of light produced by motorcycle lights. Now many motorcycle users are replacing standard muffler, racing muffler to increase the power produced by the engine and many motorcycle users replace standard lamps to LED lights to get brighter lighting at night. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the type of lamp, distance measurement, angle of the reflector and the height of the measurement of the intensity of light produced and the effect of variations glasswool on the intensity of the muffler sound racing.
The materials used in the research are motorcycles, muffler racing and RTD LED lights. The tools used are luxmeter, digital sound level meter, water pass, anemometer, measuring stick, tripod, meter and scales. The study of light intensity is carried out by measuring the light intensity on the variation of the type of lamp, the variation of the angle of the reflector -5º, 0º, and + 5º, the distance of the measurement is carried out at a distance of 3, 4, 5 to 100 meters with a straight measurement direction, to the right of 2-3 meters and at various measurement heights of 105, 130 and 140 cm from the ground. Measurement of motorcycle noise levels, carried out in accordance with the procedures determined by the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 07 of 2009, concerning the Noise Limit for New Motor Vehicles. Noise measurement of racing exhaust is done with a variety of glasswool.
From the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the light intensity produced by standard lamps and LED lights at a distance of 3 meters in the direction of straight measurement (SK0), the angle of the reflector 0º long distance 105 cm high LED light produces a light intensity of 180 Lux, while the standard lamp is 35.5 Lux, at a distance of 90 meters the intensity of the light produced by the LED lamp is 0.7 Lux, and the standard lamp produces 0.1 Lux. The highest sound intensity produced by a standard muffler is 65.3 dB, while the highest sound intensity produced muffler racing with a glasswool built-inis 25 grams of 81.54 dB, but if glasswool is added to 75 grams, the highest sound intensity is 79.26 dB . The motorbike noise threshold has been set in the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 07 of 2009, concerning the New Type of Motor Vehicle Noise Threshold which explains that a motorbike with a cylinder capacity below 175 cc, the permissible noise threshold is 80 dB.
