POLITISASI BIROKRATIK PEMBAHASAN KRISIS MYANMAR DALAM UNITEDNATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL
Abstract
The 27 August 2017 attack carried out by the Government of Myanmar through the military assisted by indigenous Buddhist has become one of the worst waves of the explosion of crisis, with the evidence that the military has committed crimes against humanity. Militer carrying out violence, mass murder, rape accompanied by sexual violence, as well as mass burning of property owned by Rohingya. As an agency that serves as the front guard in providing action to world security and peace, UNSC is expected to investigate this case and provide a firm policy, whether in the form of sanctions or recommend this agenda at the ICC. Unfortunately, the expected firm policy did not happen with the stagnation of the discussion of the crisis at UNSC. In this study, the authors tried to explain what the reasons behind UNSC struggle to produce firm policies in the forum
