Man as a social creature requires interaction with other human beings in his life. Much of the interaction and socialization between humans within a society is contained within the settlements. Thus, the settlement as a form of community ecosystem in the activity has a very potential role as a character forming of community. The condition of the settlement becomes an indication of the condition of the society in it. On the other hand, Islam as a religion of rahmatan lil 'alamin provides a discourse on aspects of Islam in a house and settlement. The emergence of urban slums is closely linked to urbanization without being adequately balanced with the addition of proper facilities. It is because the process of modernization or development that took place so rapidly in the cities increase it attractive. So it can cause a variety of problems caused by the dense population-centered in urban areas. This problem can be seen from the inadequate environmental conditions that can affect the practice of religion. Thus, this study aimed to describe the conditions of religious practice and social interaction in slums. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis will be used in this research is by plunging directly into the field and observing activities related to religious practice and social interaction.
