GAMBARAN KEJADIAN KEKERASAN PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH
Abstract
Background: Incidence of violence in school-age children every year in increasing. The cause of violence come from parent, environment and and factors that come from the child itself. Violence that can be experienced by school-aged children in the form of physical violence, verbal or emotional, sexual, economy and neglect. Where the occurrence of violence comes from the school environment, home and public places. The impact that will occur for the victim can result in disruption of the child psychic, seriously injured, trauma and can create prolonged stress.
Research Purposes: to find out the description of violent incidents in school-aged children.
Research Metods: The design used in this research is quantitative descriptive with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were students of grade IV-V with a total of 220 student. Sampling technique using simple random sampling, the subject of this study was 130 respondents. Research instrument using questionnaire of violent incident. Analysis using the test frequencies.
Research Result: Violence in school-aged children is dominated by female species (51.5%), class V (56.9%), are in the low economic background of under the UMK (62.3%). There is an incidence of violence of (56.9%) with the most violent type of verbal violence of (68.9%). The characteristics of the occurrence of violence are in school (93.2%), and the preparator status of (83.8%) and the victim (89.2%).
Conclusion: There is an incidence of violence that occurs in school-aged children. Is expected to be a recommendation of schools and health services to take policy and prevention against incident of violence in school-aged children, and provide knowledge to students about violent incidents that occur around the students environment.
