PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA EDUKASI JADWAL PELAJARAN SOGI (GOSOK GIGI) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SISWA USIA 9-10 TAHUN SDN NGEBEL GEDE I SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background Caries and persistence of teeth are vulnerable in 9-10 years because
the students knowledge about oral and dental health is still low leading to mouth
and tooth problems. Dental and oral health education using SOGI (Gosok Gigi)
needs to be given as an effort to improve the maintenance of oral health. SOGI is
an educational media in the form of a flipchart containing information on how to
brush teeth properly as well as a place to write school schedules.
Objective This research aims to find out the effects of dental and oral health
education using educational media of lesson schedule SOGI on students
knowledge of oral and dental health aged 9-10 years in SDN Ngebel Ngede I
Sleman Yogyakarta.
Research Method This is a quasi-experiment research with one group of pretestposttest
design. This research was done in SDN Ngebel Gede 1 Sleman
Yogyakarta with 37 respondents as the research sample selected through non
random sampling namelu purposive sampling technique.
Result After the analysis using Wilcoxon test, it is found that p < 0,05. It means
that there are a differences on students knowledge before and after given
educational media of lesson schedule SOGI.
Conclusion There are effects before and after using educational media of lesson
schedule SOGI on students knowledge aged 9-10 in SDN Ngebel Gede 1 Sleman
Yogyakarta.
