PENGARUH PELATIHAN REGULASI EMOSI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN QUALITY OF LIFE PASANGAN MENIKAH MUDA DI KABUPATEN BANTUL, DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
This research aims to find out the influence of emotional regulation training so that there is an improvement on the quality of life of young-married couples in Kasihan sub-district, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. It is very important for every individual to have quality of life, because it influences their daily lives. It also influences the quality of a marriage. The higher the quality of life is, the better the marriage quality will be, and vice versa. This regulation training is carried out to help improve the quality of life of young-married couples.
The subject of this research was the community who live in Kasihan sub-district, Bantul regency, Yogyakarta, who got married before they turn 21 years-old and had been married for between 0-5 years. The training was conducted for a day. The measurement scale used in this research was quality of life scale which was given on the pre-test and post-test. The techniques of data analysis used to test the hypotheses in this research were Wilcoxon test and Mann Withney test in SPSS program v.20 as well as using descriptive qualitative test.
The result shows that there is no influence of emotional regulation training to improve the quality of life of young-married couples. This is proven by the calculation result of Wilcoxon signed rank test which shows that the Z value is 0,000 with Asymp Sig (2 tailed) 1.000. Because the sig value 1.000>0.05 in accordance with the statistic test used in this research, therefore Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. Additionally, in the output of Mann Withney statistic test, Z value is -0,438 with Asymp sig value (2 tailed) is 0,661>0,05. Thus, it can be concluded that Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted.
