The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the legal aspects of plastic hazard to health and the environment and the solution. In line with the research problems in this research, the type of research is normative legal research with statute approach and case approach. This research will make waste management in Sleman Regency as a model. The result of this research indicates that (1) National garbage management is regulated in Law Number 18 of 2008 and within the scope of Sleman Regency is regulated in Sleman District Regulation Number 4 of 2015, garbage management in Sleman Regency is done by involving public participation; (2) The regulation of plastic waste in Law Number 18 of 2008 have not regulated this plastic waste yet; and (3) The solution for regulating the law against the prohibition of using plastic can be prepared by the Government and Parliament, while waiting for the legal umbrella can be done by issuing the Sleman Regent's policy on the prohibition of using plastic.
