Abstract
Pacitan city has a high level of seisemic vulnerability index. Pacitan has high potential to experience severe building damage due to the earthquake cause by the soil condition which is dominated by soft soil. The planning of building construction, especially schools in Pacitan Subdistrict, is specifically expected to pay attention to construction stages that principled in earthquake resistant buildings. This research aims to identify the risk level of school buildings due to the earthquake in Pacitan Subdistrict by conducting a rapi assesment using Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) method based on FEMA P-154 2015. This writing is the result of research and direct field survey with form filling in Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) type High Seimicity which can be interpreted as the area where this study took place or Pacitan Subdistrict has a high earthquake distribution. Form filling school buildings were evaluated as many as 10 school with the number of buildings as may as 23. The result of the study showed that the S value as 1,38 with a potential vulnerability of buildings of 22,70% with C1 type of building or intended as earthquake resistant concreate frame buildings, C3 type of building is concreate frame buildings with a filling bricks and not amplified. Than URM type buiding is bricks frame building which was not in strengthen. The value generated from the building research data showed that the data is greater than the minimum S value of 0.3 for C1 and C3 type of building and 0,2 for URM type of building according to FEMA P-154 2015 provisions. The result of the average school building in Pacitan District is classified as a building that is not safe from the potential threat of earthquake disaster because Pacitan District has school with a potential vulnerability of buildings until 100%.
