INSPEKSI KESELAMATAN PERLINTASAN SEBIDANG PADA JPL 716 KM 532 ± 648 JALAN PEDES, GODEAN, BANTUL, YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
A level crossing is an intersection in which a railway line crosses a road at similar level, that is facilitated by marks (designation), signs, roundabouts, and traffic signals. The aim of this research is to conduct of safety inspection on a level crossings at JPL 716 KM 532±648 Pedes Road, Godean, Yogyakarta by using the analyzing of the traffic volume, delays, queue length, and observed damage pavement using PCI (pavement condition index) method it also analyze the lack of the mark sign on the railway and highway according to Regulation of Director General of land Transportation 36 of 2005 and Departement Regulation of Transportation 36 of 2011. Based on the result, the PCI was found to be 80,42 % and it is evaluated in good ccondition, behavior at this level have’nt meet the prevailing standard. the longest delay occurs at 06:55 WIB for 414 second and the fastest delay takes place at 08:15 WIB (west Indonesia time) for 78 second, and the long queues was found at 06:55 WIB from northward which is 58 meters and 53 meters from southward. And then, highest of traffic flow on a level crossing at JPL 716 KM 532±648 is found to be 1320 vehicles per train of passes or 268,2 light vehicle unit per train of passes. This research recommends that a level crossing at JPL 716 should be increased to a nonlevel crossing.
