Rumah Dongeng Mentari Community is carrying out its mission to popularize the storytelling culture by holding a special event through Fairy Tales Festival. In 2017, Rumah Dongeng Mentari Community held the Awicarita Festival in Imogiri Pine Forest, Yogyakarta. Awicarita festival is organized with a variety of events that use the concept of storytelling to convey moral values and provide educational entertainment to the public. In organizing the Awicarita Festival 2017 event, the method used to analyze uses 5 stages of event management from Goldblatt, starting with research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. The source of data collection is collected through interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies related to the Awicarita Festival event. The results of this study indicate that Rumah Dongeng Mentari Community has successfully organized Fairy Tales Festival in Yogyakarta. However, in organizing the event, there found some shortcomings that are matched with the evaluation material of Awicarita Festival 2017, Rumah Dongeng Mentari community needs to pay attention to things that will be added to the next event. This Fairy Tale Festival held to aim the community as they would still apply the storytelling culture through teaching methods, as well as in conveying the values in daily life, so storytelling activities became more popular again.
