POLA PENGGUNAAN DAN EVALUASI ANTIBIOTIK PROFILAKSIS PADA PASIEN BEDAH SESAR (SECTIO CAESAREA) DI RUMAH SAKIT PKU MUHAMMADIYAH GAMPING YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Prophylaxis antibiotics in caesarean section are administered with the goal of reducing and preventing postpartum infections. Selection and use of prophylaxis antibiotics should be proper and discreet looking on appropiate drug use, dose, drug application and duration of appropiate use so that succesful therapy can be achieved by providing minimal side effect. This study aimed to determine the pattern of prescribing and evaluation of prophylaxis antibiotic use on caesarean section at RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta.
This research used observational method with cross sectional descriptive research design. Data were retrieved retrospectively by tracing medical record in caesarean section patients. The analysis of prophylaxis antibiotic evaluation was performed by calculating the percentage of drug suitability, dosage, delivery time, and route of administration based on the standards of Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) 2010 and Pedoman Umum Penggunaan Antibiotik Kemenkes 2011.
The results showed that from 80 patients ceftriaxone was used in 65 patients (81.25%), cefotaxime in 12 patients (15%) , and clindamycin in 3 patients (3.75%). The suitability of the prophylaxis antibiotic type based on the guideline was 3.75%, the suitability of the prophylaxis antibiotic administration was 100%, the suitability of the prophylaxis antibiotic delivery time was 100%, and the suitability of the prophylaxis antibiotic dose was 15%.
