ANALISA KEKUATAN UJI TARIK DAN KEKERASAN SAMBUNGAN LAS STAINLESS STEEL 316L DENGAN VARIASI GAS PELINDUNG PADA PENGELASAN TIG
Abstract
TIG welding is widely used to weld stainless steel material and plate thickness. TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is the process of arc welding flame on the area covered by a protective gas to avoid being contaminated by outside air that can lead to defects defects in welding. The purpose of this research is to know the appropriate protective gas connection stainless steel 316 l on tensile strength and hardness distribution. These studies are either stainless steel 316 L with protective gases Argon and CO2. tensile testing machine with selvopulser, while Vicker's hardness testing using the Microhardnest Tester. The highest tensile strength value is present on the specimen using the gas CO2 amounting to 581.465 MPa while the highest hardness results i.e. 284.9 HVN on the HAZ. Appropriate the research results it can be concluded that the gas CO2 is stronger for the resumption in stainlees steel 316 l against tensile strength and hardness distribution
