      Abstract
This study examines the management of the production of a documentary titled Dluwang by Belantara, a film that managed to get production funding from the Yogyakarta City tourism and cultural service program in 2017. This study uses a film production management theoretical framework to analyze the production process from pre-production, production to fitting production in the film Dluwang. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data sources came from interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted with two informants. The results of the study show that in the management of film production the most important thing is to find story ideas that have the cultural value of the city of Yogyakarta considering this program from the tourism and cultural services of Yogyakarta. Idea search can be done by conducting research and discussing to gather information about Yogyakarta culture. At the pre-production stage, the producer and director can design the composition of the crew, the needs of production equipment and the production treatment to be carried out. Furthermore, at the production stage it is important for the producer to supervise and coordinate each crew to remain on the production schedule. The evaluation phase is the longest process of Dluwang's film production. At this stage the film material is not only compiled but previewed by asking for input from various audience backgrounds to get optimal results.
