AUDIT KESELAMATAN JALAN
Abstract
Palagan Street is the primary collector road in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Because on the road there are many vehicles that pass and frequent accidents, it is necessary to analyze the causes of traffic accidents. Road safety audits are steps to identify situations that are at high risk of accidents. The purpose of this study is to identify accident characteristics, evaluate potential problems on roads that have operated on road safety and analyze JPH and JPM and provide recommendations for improvements on the 8-11 km Palagan road. This type of research is qualitative research, namely research by looking directly at the object of research in the field. The results of the Sleman Resort Police data in 2015-2017 showed traffic accidents as many as 53 accidents and the number of victims was 63 people. Based on the average age of victims who had many accidents at the age of 16-25 years with male sex 36 people and female 24 people, at the time of the afternoon at 3:00 p.m. to 18,59 was the most frequent occurrence of accidents with 22 accidents and causes among other human foktor with 39 events. Motorbikes were also the ones with the highest number of accidents with 35 vehicles and based on the type of collision the sideswipe was a collision with the highest number, accounting for 30 accidents. Stopping visibility with the calculation results shows that spot speed (operational) stop visibility is 28.17 m and 23.72 m, while the plan stop visibility is 62.87 m and the visibility is ready with the calculation results known as visibility ready for spot speed ( operational) that is equal to 142.763 m and 125.41 m while visibility is ready for plan, which is equal to 274,473 m.
