This study discuses the manajemen of events that carried out by the tourism office of the Gayo Lues regency of Aceh province in 2007. The purpose of the saman dance event is part of the UNESCO mandate that requires the Gayo Lues Regancy local goverment to organize activities that can become the foundation for preservation and develeopment of saman dance is at least once every two years because the saman dance has been designated as an intangible cultural haritage on november 12, 2011 in Nusa Dua, Bali. Then from this performance the Gayo Lues district goverment wanted to break the record of muri with the most number of dancers while at the same time wantingto promote the saman dance at the national and international levels The theoretical framework used is manajemen theory consisting of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The research method used is descriptive Qualitative, while the date collection techniques used by interviews and documentation. The date analysis technique that is carried out is by collecting date, reducing date, presenting date, drawing conclusionsBased on the results of research conducted by research conducted by researches, the event management carried out by the tourism office of Gayo Lues has been quite good and in accordance with the theory. Planning is done by making the event destination up to determine the theme. Organizing is done by forming an organizational structure up to providing employess and volunteers. The implementation is carried out as planned and then in its evaluation the committee makes an accountability report as an evaluation material.
