ANALISIS KINERJA PELABUHAN MALUNDUNG TARAKAN
Abstract
Port of Malundung Tarakan is an international hub-port logistic chain,
hence it must provide good services. Recently the increase of freight will
undoubtedly affect the port performance, so it needs to be analyzed and evaluated
with the real condition. This study aims to determine the attributes influencing port
performance such as Service Time (ST), Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR), Berth
Throughput (BTP), and Port Capacity (KD) based on ship and cargo activities data
in the period of 2009-2015. The port performance indicators are used to measure
the optimum services provided by port facilities and infrastructures, which are used
intensively. Based on the analysis result, the port performance in the terminal
operated by PT Pelindo (IV) Branch Malundung Tarakan in 2009-2015 has the
average Service Time of 18.12 hours with the longest time is 19.72 hours in 2012.
Berth Occupancy Ratio in 2009-2015 has average value of 21% with the peak value
of 22,14% in 2014. This value is less than 55%, which is the benchmark assigned
by UNCTAD. For the 3-berth group. Berth Throughput has an average value of
852,28 tons /year. Pier capacity at the terminal operated by PT Pelindo (IV) has an
average value of 323.868 tons/year, while the average value required is 785,531
tons/year.
